Assessing the authenticity of diamond jewelry is not an easy thing to do, especially for ordinary people who do not have these skills. This is where diamond jewellery certificates play an important role as a guide to choosing genuine and quality diamond jewelry. In order for buyers to be more confident in the consistency of the quality of the diamonds offered, we always provide a certificate for every purchase at the Adelle Jewellery E-Store.

Adelle Jewellery provides certified diamonds from two of the world's leading diamond grading organizations - Gemological Institute of America (GIA) & GemEx.

Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

Founded in 1931, GIA is the world's leading organization for diamonds, colored stones and pearls. As a not-for-profit public organization, GIA is a leading source of knowledge, standards and education in the gem and jewellery field.
  • In the 1940s, GIA established the "4C" standard and the International Diamond Grading System™ - to this day the world standard for evaluating & grading diamond quality. Having a diamond with GIA certification is a prerequisite for a trusted jewellery store & is very important because:
  • GIA is internationally recognized as one of the most trusted diamond certification labs
  • Having diamonds with GIA certification ensures an accurate and objective assessment of the quality & specifications of diamonds.
  • The results of the 4Cs assessment of diamonds indicate the rarity of the diamond which will affect the value & price (the higher the 4Cs value, the rarer & more expensive)
  • GIA DIAMOND DOSSIER

The GIA Diamond Dossier® includes the 4C numbers - Color, Clarity, Rust - plus microscopic laser inscriptions from the GIA report for convenience. Only for loose natural D-to-Z color diamonds, weighing 0.15 - 1.99 carats.

GemEx

GemEx is a certification laboratory located in America that specializes in scientifically studying & analyzing diamond "light performance" - how light reflects off diamonds & shines through diamonds.

GemEx was invented by two electrical engineers who saw a flaw in the diamond industry where at the time, there was no precise way to measure the beauty of diamonds. Consumers have to believe their own eyes.

GemEx certification indicates a diamond's light performance or measures the amount of light reflected by a diamond. Light Performance is known as the element that is responsible for giving the diamond its beauty.

GEMEX LIGHT PERFORMANCE

  • Brilliance

    White Light

White Light - Intense white light emanating from the diamond

  • Fire

    Coloured light

Colored Light - Colored light with rainbow colors emitted

  • Scintillation

    Sparkle

Sparkle - A flash of light that flashes & dims from a diamond when the diamond, light source or viewer moves. Scintillation is a pattern of light & dark in a diamond.

Graphics with one bar each for brilliance, fire & scintillation. The bar shows how the diamond you are considering compares to all other diamonds of the same shape. The comparison is based on measurements of more than 3 million diamonds to determine the brilliance, fire & scintillation range for diamonds of the same shape. A Very High value indicates that the diamond has superior light performance while a Low value indicates that the diamond has poor light performance.

Brilliance, Fire & Sparkle Chart - Bar chart with one bar each for brilliance, fire and scintillation. The bar shows how the diamond you are considering compares to all other diamonds of the same shape. The comparison is based on measurements of more than 3 million diamonds to determine the brilliance, fire and scintillation range for diamonds of the same shape.

Five Light Measurements - Five light measurements are taken to show how the diamond you are considering interacts with light. These photos are actual photos of the diamond you are considering buying. GemEx uses the BrillianceScope® Analyzer to evaluate the percentage of white light and color light produced by diamonds as well as scintillation. To ensure accuracy, GemEx measures each diamond from various light angles.

Information from Lab Certificate - Additional information containing cut, color, clarity & carat of diamonds, provided by the laboratory.

IdentiView™ Image - Also included is a photo showing the craftsmanship and symmetry of the diamond. You can match your diamonds to those on the certificate using BrillianceScope.

GemEx Live Report - GemEx Live Report is an interactive version of your diamond GemEx Certificate. Live Reports are available on the GemEx website so you can see the light performance in action. Here, you can check Brilliance, Fire & Sparkle diamonds as well as download a copy of your GemEx certificate.
